Its 1st of october and I bet Data is working at full power to polish out the first commercial build of CC. The deadline closes at night so its pretty exciting what have the guys at DRL done so far. Factions, campaign, scene editor, pathfinding, nukes.. no wait. no nukes, turrets, more guns and crafts... Whoppee, this is gonna be great. Discuss. Oh yeah. FYI, Data entered some IGF competition that might get him a nifty 20.000$ if they win the first prize. Wish ya luck Data! Google for ''IGF'' and go to the first link it gives you for more info. |

Use these assets to defend your motherbrain and bankrupt your opponent! Old-school 2D sidescroller pixel graphics coupled with an extremely detailed physics simulation makes for a mix of nostalgia and open-ended gameplay. Nope, the minimum you can win is $500, not including losing, and maximum is $20 000, which is what numgun said. |

Has a pre-beta game ever won IGF? I'd be surprised. If not, I don't expect CC to make a precident. |

I don't expect to see a polished, marketable product by February... This begs the question of what he hopes to accomplish with his submission. He certainly won't walk away with the 20 000 USD prize. CC has nothing on Darwinia (a previous winner). Best I could imagine is the Innovation Award (for 2 500 USD), and even then--eh. |

That doesn't mean its beta, it just means its not popular. Also, as far as I've read, it was a complete game--it just wasn't a popular game. A level of popularity and notability does not assert completion. Data Realms has a decent sized community. That does not make the game complete by any stretch. Correlation != Causation |
