Cortex Command Not Working Anymore

Post subject:  Cortex Command Not Working Anymore
Everytime I try to start the game, it reads:

Abortion in File.\System\Reader.cpp, line 486, because:
Could not match property in Base.rte/Settings.ini at line 4

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game probably about 5 times, and it will sometimes play well the first time I load it up, but then after that, it just shows that message. I tried to modify the file, but it won't let me save it. What do I do?

I just had this same problem.
I logged off my computer, then logged back on.
It let me delete it after that, and then I reinstalled CC.

Install to a new folder, also post line 4.

My working settings.ini line 4=
Code:
TrueColorMode = 1

Make sure there is one tab before it.
See if replacing what you've got there helps.

Heh, I found the problem. For some reason, the computer will only let me run the game as an administrator.

It's been a problem for me too.
I just performed operation on CC, AKA reinstalled to a different folder and copied over the settings file.
Works like a charm.
