I have Problems with this game
i have a thrustmaster firestorm 3
When i press Left Or Right it Goes Diagnal instead not allowing me to navigate Through The left\right options of the New "PIE" menu

it really didn't bother me(only bunker building but not very bad) till Build 18 because "PIE Menu" has Diagnal options

any way to fix this? :???:

note(any other Freeware/Emulator games don't have this problem)

a (sorta) Vertren in distress

Last time I checked, the options and controls screen features a configure button.

Or does that not work for gamepads?

Are you sure the controls aren't set to analog controllers? There is/was an option for both.

First of all, hideous formatting.
Secondly, he meant under the CONFIGURATION. NOT your controller, the CONFIGURATION.
Go the d-pad configuration again and make sure that you are pressing only left, not left and up or left and down, for left, etc.
Finally, hideous formatting.

I'm afraid I've had the same problem on two seperate computers with both my old MS Sidewinder Joystick (Just tried a stick for a laugh - worked surprisingly well apart from this problem!), and a budget gamepad. Both on analogue and d-pad modes, pressing left or right once assigned to buttons would cause the crosshair to go diagonally up-left or down-right respectively. Up and Down buttons worked properly, as did all other buttons. Obviously, the inability to go straight left or right causes all kinds of problems - not least of which is being unable to go left on the pie menu to press "Done Building" and start the game!! n__n

Hope this helps pinpoint the issue!

For my Xbox360 (wired) controller, if I have it set to keyboard+mouse, then switch it to gamepad1 without configuring it, it moves diagonally whichever direction I push the analog stick in. You could try configuring it to single analog (I didn't look at the pics but I'm assuming it doesn't have two) but with one analog stick it makes it harder to aim I would assume.

EDIT: Looked at the pics... that thing looks like it sucks just buy a wired Xbox360 controller and dl the drivers from Microsoft I believe, and even better if you have Vista it automatically recognizes the controller (when I first got my controller I was in the car with my friend with no internet connection and it recognized it as a "Xbox360 Device").
