Soo, I'm looking way to open and run CC in Ubuntu 7.04, 'cause my Windows XP crashed... Please help! Cortex Command is such a nice game! |

Run winecfg, go to the sound tab, and set it to OSS and Emulation. CC should work fine after that. Oh, and you'll need a recent version of WINE, in case Ubuntu hasn't updated yet, which they usually haven't. (link to a .deb for newest WINE version) |

It should be something like: wine /home/myuser/Games/Cortex\ Command\ B14/Cortex\ Command.exe Or, if you're already in the working directory: wine Cortex\ Command.exe The backslashes are used before spaces so the terminal doesn't interpret the location incorrectly. |

Yeah, the best way is to download the installer and install it with wine. I haven't had any problems with the installer. That way you get a entry in your start menu "Menu>Wine>Programs>Cortex Command Test Build". Then you don't have to start it with the terminal ![]() If you still have problems or you get it to work please post your results here: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=8116 |
