It's called fog of war. You can remove it by having an actor look at it.
Describing something in terms of color is not racist, especially when skin does not come into it at all.

Copy and paste this in to the console: Code: for t=1,4 do SceneMan:RevealUnseenBox(0,0,SceneMan.SceneWidth,SceneMan.SceneHeight,t-1) end

Is there a console command or ini setting for disabling the horrible brain flashy crap? I REALLY couldn't stand that ♥♥♥♥ about KAG's drowning system, and I REALLY dislike it having tried build 26 for myself.
Pleeeeeeaaaseeee PLEASE tell me how to disable this!

I've found myself using an earlier release myself because of the lack of friendly fire which makes One Man Army nearly unplayable. Higher version numbers don't always mean improvements without a price, so keep your old builds before tossing them.

There are scanner tools that remove the fog of war. I don't have CC installed right now, but I'd be willing to bet you could mod those to have infinite range, and just do a 360 sweep around yourself at the start of every match to reveal the whole map.

Is there no way to get rid of the 4x troop cost multiplier found in metagame? It's forced me to adjust the costs of all the base games troops. And any mods I choose to use.

I haven't tested this myself, but have you tried opening the ini-files in Metagames.rte and editing ForeignCostMultiplier?
