Where would I put the .rte file to make it load in version 1.0 if that is possible? |

CC on Steam is perfectly moddable; just drop your .rte files in Code: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Cortex Command Or something along those lines. If it wasn't moddable, that would be a damn shame; vanilla content is relatively mediocre compared to the amazing wizardry of certain people on this forum. With my vast array of mods, I have access to roughly 500 excellent pieces of equipment and units total, along with the twenty-minute loadtime to prove it. |

I think you need to look for the game file. Not sure where but it might look like this C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Username |

also, protip you're probably gonna want to make a shortcut directly to your cortex command directory wherever it is and put it on your desktop. anyone who's anyone who loves this game for the most part probably has a shortcut easily in reach to right inside the heart of where cortex lives on their comp. it makes adding mods insanely easy because all you have to do is extract then drop them into that shortcut. |

Or you could use WinRAR which remembers the last few places you extracted to so you just click on the folder in the dropdown box. |

either way quick access to your CC folder is mandatory or else modding it will be a pain, especially if you have it on steam, where it's buried in shitloads of subfolders. |
