Post New forum member stopping in with a question!
Well so far from what i can tell these are the most badass of badass forums around(:
so everybody give yourself a warm hand. And after using these forums for so long i figured i needed to start being active here. So ive actually had a question for a while that ive been meaning to ask. I love this game, and love playing defence game modes where i can just keep killing guys. But after a while if i have an Aegis from the UniTec mod standing there, it will be several feet underground. this goes with almost all units. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Ive tried to mess with delta time some. But playing zombie game modes is almost impossible for me as they always end up stuck in a GIANT hole. Any help friends?

I've honestly never seen this problem occur, I have seen troops borrow oddly like you say, but it usually to happens to me when I get slammed by heavy objects.

I think I know what is causing this for you. At one point I decided to raise to delta time to about.. 60(?)ish - 100 (I honestly forgot how high it was before my units started to sink) and my units also started to act as if they had high mass, so I guess try lowering it. If this doesn't work then I'm not sure what is causing this.

Even without mussing with delta time heavier units in my experience will eventually dig themselves into holes. CC in general seems to have the ground set a bit too "soft".

I've rarely had game breaking holes develop though, so maybe you do have a delta time issue.

I "fix" the problem by laying down concrete and/or metal pads wherever I expect heavy units to fight; think of it like real-life prepared firing positions.

My delta time is at the standard setting now. im gonna raise it some to steady some timescale issues. I use mods and maps, but im unsure if it is possible to make some type of mod that would make it so units (the physical body) could not destroy environment, only weapons. This isn't a request either, just a curiosity. :)

You could always crack open Materials.ini in Base.rte and crank up the StructuralIntegrity of the dirt/sand/etc. materials. You'd probably want to increase the power of the various digging tools to compensate, though.
