Will it ever happened? They have a xbox 360 controller preset so it could work. this would be awesome if it did come out for the xbox 360. |

Doesn't seem entirely impossible, however I see a few potential issues. 1. Can the 360 run Lua scripts? just wondering. 2. Does the 360 have a processor capable of withstanding CC at moderate to high resolutions with a standard delta time at 1.0x speed? 3. Is a console really worth Data's time to develop a game that is compatible with it? (no PC gamer bias in this point, nope, none at all) |

The Lua scripts are run by the game so this isn't a problem. 2. 3.2GHz tri-core. Should be sufficient, the game could also be optimized for that specific processor, something you can't do on PC. 3. Probably not. |

Good point I suppose, still that implies a lot of work for Data, and a separate version from PC that would need a lot of separate work. 3. and that's the crux of it. bringing a PC game to a console is functionally useless, as consoles are just gimped PCs. |

I disagree with your opinion of consoles, but agree it would be a waste of time. CC is all about mods, consoles don't support mods. |

The problem with mod support on a console is that MS wouldn't tolerate it. There's no software or hardware limitation preventing you from picking up a chatpad and writing your own mods if it were on console. Sound and art assets might be a problem though. I'd love to see CC on the 360, I think it could be a pretty successful arcade title, and I'd love to see it let you copy assets from a thumb drive to the hard drive to make your own mods (or just import ones from your PC) but it'd need a complete overhaul from the ground up and it's just not going to happen. Oh well. |
