Is there any way to reset presets? I cleared them and I want them back. |

In campaign the presets always come back on next mission. Annoying for me because the presets suck. (well most of them do.) |

They really do. They don't appeal to strategic significance!! |

If I'm not wrong, you can at least change them to what you want on the Loadouts.ini file in their corresponding folders. But I don't think you can delete presets. |

Instead of looking at that huge list of stuff each preset has, I'd rather have a small list with names like "sniper", or "heavy minigun", "light assault", "heavy shotgun". 2) Remove sidearms from loadouts. I never buy pistols as they are weak, and by the time your main weapon is broken, you are dead before you can fire more than one bullet anyways. Unless you're in cover, but then chances are he is near death, so you just buy another body and let your old body grab something of the ground. 3) Less grenades. I rarely buy grenades, and i only use them when attacking bases. Could be just me though. Just my ideas, might not apply to everyone. |

Sidearms are very useful, specially on some loadouts that include explosive weaponry. Like, the ronin loadout with the RPG. You wouldn't fire it if somehow you end up with your enemy too near, that's what sidearms are for at times. And grenades aren't as useful as before because of no-random-explosions. If they did, I'd change all my loadouts to give my soldiers at least three stick grenades, that ensures a vengative death. |

Sidearms are useful in several loadouts, but with a light coalition soldier with an assault rifle, sidearms are less useful. Yes, grenades are suicide right now, but I rarely used them pre-1.0 anyways, except for when attacking bunkers. That's just me though, maybe I should try using grenades more often outside bunkers? Edit: removed the quotes. |

Grenades have pretty much lost their essence with time, but I guess that we can talk about them on another thread. And going back on-presets-topic, is it possible to leave the loadouts.ini blank, or it wil crash the game? |

Presets aren't very useful when they're just for one actor. Especially if it's an actor with an assault or pistol - if I'm doing that badly I don't have time to click on presets. Also I don't have time to sort through them all - there are too many. |

This would be far easier if they just had their preset name, like "Sniper", "Heavy Shotgun", "Light AR", "Light RPG", etc. The list would be small and easy to use. Right now it's hard to find what you want, which is why I never use presets. |

The problem with presets is that they are simply put unfit for purpose. Single unit is easy to lose and wasting +400 on it is bit dumb. The presets should be what AI will be using. And that is usually single gun. Side arms only work when you have riot shield to back it up. If players want to add grenades to their preset they can do that manually or save their own preset. Edit: Also when in assault you probably don't want to go with economical play but instead use drop crates for your unit. |

Especially the heavier / more dakka sidearms such as MP5 and Heavy Pistol. |

I think presets would be better with a bit of a reworking. Instead of the current way it'd be better if your preset just contains the troop(or acrab) and defaults to whatever craft you were using already. That way you could just hit a preset a few times (or several presets) and get the troop set twice instead of having to do it manually or order it in separate crafts. After a bit of gameplay with a faction you get to know what, roughly, is in each preset. The main problem is having to call down 6 rockets to get the number of troops you want, especially when they crash into each other as that many rockets are wont to do. |
