CCData: Added the MaxMass property to all crafts.

BEGIN RAMPANT SPECULATION.

Or one of the devs could tell us what it's actually for!

Like that'll happen. :P

Maximum encumbrance for crafts is my guess.

If I recall correctly, it's a var for knowing when a dropship is overloaded, different for each dropship.

I.e. not being able to lift itself + cargo anymore.

That's a most welcome change, especially if it won't let the user even try sticking too much stuff in, which is the main problem; the current way it works gives no useful feedback (other than crashing) and is pretty newb-unfriendly.

I guess that's it for Crab Bombs.

I guess not (-ish; you still can't buy them).

I figured as much, it seemed logical/intuitive enough to me... was just poking fun at how people like to speculate. ;)

Hopefully the limit will be displayed in the Buy Menu, along with the weight of ordered items.

I think it'd be better if it was such that you could still order by clicking twice on 'Buy'; e.g. if you are over the drop weight, then the button turns red and 'WARNING: MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED DROP WEIGHT EXCEEDED' pops up. If you hit 'Buy' again (or the warning notice has Confirm/Cancel buttons) then it'll let you call the order in anyway. This would be useful for high-powered rockets that have enough 'oomph' to slow the fall and won't trap cargo under them; once they're unloaded, they can quickly boost back to orbit.

There should also be an infinite/not-applicable setting (e.g. MaxMass = -1), for drop pods and the like. Having them list the allowed drop weight as a ridiculous amount - assuming it's listed and calculated at all - would be silly.

Yeah, that'd be a good idea; I don't mind that people want to stuff ridiculous mass into stuff, I just don't want newbies doing it on accident, it's one of those things that's very unfriendly and not documented.

Actually, that's one of the main things I'd use this for; being able to stick a Main Battle Tank into a Drop Crate has always been one of my least-favorite things about CC, because it totally screws up balance.

Nah man it's just a var so the AI knows not to overload em.
