Hey everyone;

I'm a total noob with this game but I really like it. Besides the fact that mouse acceleration is a problem.

Anyways, I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer. I have a collection of 182 Original PC games and I built my PC so that it can eat Battlefield 3 alive at max settings.

My point here is not to brag about myself, but to bring up the point that this game - Cortex Command, needs much more attention from players.

It has been under development for a while now and I never seen or heard any kind of advertisement about this game.

I was lucky to find it because I was watching some older Half Life videos on youtube and then I saw Cortex Command video in the menu and I decided to click on it.

Man, while most games out there made by big companies deliver "more of the same", loaded with money shops, this game here is something completely unique.

The way I would love to see this game go is - Fixed bugs and especially mouse acceleration problem, add more maps, content, weapons etc; added multiplayer online and sell through Steam.

Then when the DEV team makes hell load of money and everyone else is having tons of fun playing the game - then you can start thinking about Cortex Command II - with more factions and completely overhauled vissuals.

I'm telling you, this game has so much potential that it is scary.

Thanks!

It has already been stated that multiplayer is not going to happen. It would require pretty much a complete overhaul of the engine.
And, iirc, a Steam release is going to happen eventually, once the game is actually complete. Right now it's still in development.
But yeah, the mouse acceleration really needs fixing.

That's understandable.

Well, hopefully the game will get fixed and completed for Steam Release.

Perhaps after it will succeed with the Steam Sales and popularity, then it would allow the Dev team to create CC 2 - with overhauled graphics, engine and multiplayer.

While I can sympathize with most of your points. I don't get why you want overhauled graphics. Part of the charm in CC is the unique art style.

Yes, you are actually right.

If the graphics was changed, then it would not be the same game anymore and the feel would be completely different.

I want to see it finished and available through Steam and eventually with multiplayer

Didn't someone make a really unstable but sort of working CC online multiplayer mod a while back?

It sucked.
Any more complication (it had 1 actor and 1 gun and no terrain deformation) and it wouldn't have worked at all.

Why? While I can understand that online multiplayer would be too bandwidth consuming, I can't understand why there is no lan mode. Not everyone has got 3 gamepads, a big enough monitor and enough space to play hotseat. :/

You have the graphic sort of like how the concept art of CC is, all smoothen out and all that. Just a thought.
