Auto-build... why not everywhere?
Hello, When b27 finally came out, the first thing I've tried was campaign of course. After capturing the first site, I've noticed little ComboBox called Auto. I knew it's probably for those auto-built blueprint bases, so I've left it checked to see how will it look like after couple of rounds.
I must say, these bases are pretty amazing work. Huge, complex, nicely looking, well designed. Making them Campaign-only is such a waste. We should be able to easily use them in scenarios such as Dummy Assault, Endless Skirmish Defense, Harvester and so on, and I haven't noticed such feature. Many times I've built pretty nice base just to get killed accidentally. If I could load blueprint and build as many "items" as possible for selected (and given by gamemode/difficulty level) gold, I would use blueprints (or make my own and then use them) instead of spending my time on building base which I will not be able to save if it was nice. It would give Dummy Assault new life, because we could infiltrate all of prefab bases on each of sites. We would just need to create our small, own ones. I also liked Maginot defence, because (except of that it wasn't endless), it was like (a bit scripted) Skirmish, but there was no need to build base, so you could play it quickly.
It's not like I don't like to design and build my own bases. It's just that I'd like them to saved and loaded easily, so I'll not lose any nice one. If there is some mod that allows me to do it, I'd be grateful to get notified (although I don't know if auto-build is not hardcoded into Campaign, haven't looked yet).
Also, not to make another thread, two of other suggestions. -Is it possible to make wildlife placed on sites in Campaign mode (especially on first visits)? Fight with friend/A.I., but don't forget about site's natural defenses -About editor, how about using Shift or Ctrl to "snap to grid"? Or is there similiar feature, but toggled with other key?
Hope that these ideas aren't too demanding/stupid, and that you will like at least couple of them. Also, thank you all for everything you've done so far to make it so good. RavMahov

In the editor, it's a click, not a drag, to make things snap. If you drag it, it doesn't snap. If you click it, it does snap.
