B27 is almost here!

Like I said in the comments for the youtube video, take it easy and make sure it keeps at a healthy stream of content. You don't wanna pull a Notch and leave the game a broken mess, then place the creative rights away so nobody can improve on it. Data, if it starts to get boring for you, let the other devs take some weight it's not all on you and you can't expect a game to really thrive if its base code is sequestered away with only one or two folks getting access to it.
Of course, that's your prerogative, just don't let all the work on CC go for nothing, man. We got some good material here.

Don't get your hopes up RHONON, we've only got this build and then it's the release. You have to realize that Data's been working on this project for more than 10 years, and built it from the ground up. Sure it doesn't quite have all the extensive story line and premise that he's thought up, but we do already have a well polished game that was built from the ground up. Seeing as the builds are pretty much just public tests; We already have some great quality.

Meta game looks like its fun also, would want to try that out.

so im guessing the gap between 27 and 1.0 release is content (as in factions, ships, guns, robots, buyable stuff) and a few fixes here and there?

also it's wonderful to know that all you guys are working on now is content and polish. means 1.0 isn't far off.
i actually believe data when he says 1.0 will be released sometime in the summer.

But once it's in a full 'release' state, that may mean an influx of popularity, modders or other things that could happen. It's a progression we've been going through for years now.
