The title says it all. Sorry in advance if this is a total noob question.

Ctrl+m cycles through three screen modes. The first is the typical one that displays graphics and effects normally, the second and third are designed to display the terrain and the movable objects the engine is running, without the sprites in the way. For mod developers, it can give insight on exactly what the game is doing and whether or not their mod is working as it should. For anyone else, it isn't particularly useful.

It's fun to use them with the Tiberium mod though. Actually a little trippy. Thanks for the clarification.

I...What...Um... I've been playing CC for 2 years now and I've never known about this...

Two years? Try 4-5 years of not knowing about it. There's always hidden/undocumented dev commands left in stuff if you look hard enough. ;)

Has anyone actually made a full list of hidden/undocumented commands? I know there's timescale/deltatime adjustment using number keys... anything else lurking out there?

Pretty positive it's CTRL+1 or 2, depending on if you want time speed up or down. That might be from an old build though, I don't really remember.

My god how did I not know this existed.

Something like the second state would be fantastic for infrared scopes, if it could be contained to one player's screen.
If only

Maybe if you ask Data nicely? It'd be an absolute pain to do with Lua, but if some of the stuff is in-engine already...

Nothing happens for me when I do that, but pressing 3 and 4 increases or decreases the RealToSimCap, which I'm assuming is what you mean.

Yea, sure, let's go with that. I haven't played the game in forever. I trust your judgement more than mine in this case.

Press ctrl+o or ctrl+p after holding down ctrl+1 or +2 a few seconds.
