As the title suggests, after installing mods, I get an error when the game is loading all of its..stuff up. The mods that usually do it are the ones in the hall of fame, such as explosives or pacifism. The error varies depending on the mod, and since finding the exact file is a bit iffy, I'm just reinstalling the game to 'fix' it. Ideally I want to get these mods working, so please can you guys help me? The error im getting is: RTE Aborted! (x_x). Abortion in file .\system\contentfile.cpp, line 472. failed to load datafile object with following path and name: Dummy.rte/devices/weapons/destroyerfire.rte Im installing games by extract the .rte folder into the cortex command folder, which worked with weapons such as the telekinesis chip, masher and hacking chips (part of the pacifism set, but other parts seem to crash the game). I look forward to a response and thank you in advance! |

I think your problem here is that you are trying to install a mod for the earlier versions of CC. You need to check the mod forums, and try to only install mods that are confirmed to work with B26, which is the latest. That is all I know that could be happening, maybe another forum user will be able to do more. |

The above. Your only option to get these mods working is to either fix each error by yourself (look for each of the missing content pieces) or have someone do it for you. Mod compatibility is the responsibility of the modder, so if you want to be sure they work, look for topics with the B26 icon. Those are almost guaranteed to be compatible with B26. If there's something wrong, you can post with the error and get some help in the modder's topic. |
