I e-mailed the contact address recently about this same question and here is the reply I got:

Thanks for your comments! We’re working on a commercial version of the game; the first will be very cheap, but if you want to support us above and beyond (which would be much appreciated and needed!), you could just wait till then and buy multiple licenses.



Taking donations can be a little tricky; it can create an expectation that the software will always be free. Since that’s not what we’re planning, we have refrained from setting up a donate button. I hope that makes sense.
