Hi, I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, liked CC, but there is one problem: My brothers and my friends don't like it. They think it is because of the graphics, but one of my friends played it for a minute and decided: ♥♥♥♥ this.

What can I do to make them like it? That friend of mine who played it asked me if he could play with me from his house, and if yes, he would play. But we can't. What can I do to make them like it?

There is no online for Cortex Command at the moment, the closest you can get to it is remote desktop control, but then people just ♥♥♥♥ around with your computer. If they think a good game needs to have good graphics then they are very wrong. Cortex's graphics style has character, and suits the game perfectly.

The game does, however, have a very steep learning curve. Don't just throw them into a large-scale battle and expect them to figure out the controls, let them mess around with the Tutorial and smaller missions for a while. In addition to this, install some mods at add more content to the game.

If they're that graphics-obsessed there's probably not a whole lot you can do, except maybe beat some taste into them with a nice hefty bat or something.

Other than that... go with what Ketten said, I guess. Get them to play around a bit with the tutorial and such.

Yep, graphics does not make a good game, gameplay does...
But on your case, theres nothing you can do about it, find someone other who will be interested in it...

Except the game doesn't have bad graphics, seeing as how well sprited and styled the game is.
In any case you should trade in your friends for a new model.

Yeah, if your friends are that idiotic to think that graphics make a game, they're probably also ♥♥♥holes, and would ♥♥♥♥ up your computer given the chance to do so in a safe location where you can't beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them for doing so.
(IE If they were physically at your comp)

Well, they also complain when I say I don't like a game because of it's graphics, but sometime they play games like Tetris and then say it is a great game, and they have video cards that can run beautiful graphics.

You're all so apologetic about the graphics, like that's a downside of the game!
The only reason I stuck with Cortex Command after fumbling with the controls the first time I played was that the graphics were so cool. If the game were the standard 2d indie fair I would've left it immediately.
If the people you want to play with you dislike the graphics, your biggest concern is how to hook them long enough to learn the controls. Until you can master the controls, the game isn't much fun to play, and I know from experience that some people will never master the controls.
And honestly, Cortex Command isn't for everyone. It has a sometimes slow pace, it can punish you by killing an expensive actor just after you've ordered it, and it takes like an hour to build a base.

I have a friend who gets all anxious about having people (or AI) shooting at him in videogames. He just won't get anywhere near CC no matter what.
Another friend of mine, whose initial reaction to CC was 'meh', has been hooked for weeks now. He just can't stop playing now. That happened when I stopped trying to make him like it and just played it for fun. He then realized for himself how awesome this game is.

I think Cortex Command has some of the most beautiful pixel graphics in existence.
