I hope i'm not messing with any copywrite issues by doing this but, I really love the CC intro song so I created one of my own. My first ever finished piece of music. Cortex Command remix If there are copywrite issues I will not hesitate to remove this video. Thanks, Nick. EDIT: Another song I made recently Apocalypse I didnt spend as much time on this one. I was just experimenting with a minor key signature. This one is completely original.^ ^ EDIT #2: Remix of the Zomboid song Epitaph Here is a Remix I made for the recent Zomboid competition... I tied for 3rd. |

Personally i think it more of a remix rather than a original song, and personally i prefer it having more guitar than techno/eletronic stuff. either way it's pretty good. |

I believe LordVonKain wrote: Personally i think it more of a remix rather than a original song... I agree with this, but it's really good. Great job! |

The first section was very clever, you have a good ear, sir. Later it dishevelled into what appeared to be chordwork, but the tune was sadly lost amidst it all. Very impressive, musically, but audibly it lacked power. |

which is what the gutiar's did, at least in my view. That said it could just be my fondness of rock/metal etc. over techno/eletrionic i personally would say just combine them both in see how it sounds, i do know it's possable to combine gutiar drums etc with techno ish sounds. one very good example of this is Blood stain child (an amazing japanese Melodic Death metal band) |

I just finished Theory 1/Musicianship (with an A =) at my college so there is alot of basic text book stuff going on at the end from what iv'e learned. But... Its a start and definitely an improvement from my previous works. You will also notice that in the original song there is a guitar solo at the end (which I kept). but, then the original song ended and I wanted to keep going. |

The song has a great post-apocalyptic feel to it. I'm eager for more! |

On apocalypse, to me it sounds more of a just came into a new area / world and starting up a base/civilization while scouting around the area, rather than the dread of the end or an apocalypse. quite good though. out of interest i wonder how it would sound with a few random gun sounds in the background or explosions going off. keep up the good work though. EDIT: Oh wow how did i miss that typo. |

I agree with Roast Veg that the tune itself was for the most part lost in the ensuing medley, and that it loses it's cohesiveness after the intro, but then it comes back together at the end for a nice finish. From Darkness is a sweet tune, no doubt, I encourage you to continue, and I know I will certainly look into creating a tune for the game as well. As for Apocalypse? Ooooh, sent shivers up my spine (the good kind, the kind you get when you are clearing out a building, room to room) and I agree with LordVonKain in that, firefight in the background notwithstanding, it sounds like you've arrived on the planet for the first time and you are getting ready to face all the conflicts that come with the territory. Excellence, and good on ya for OC. |
