MUST READ.....NOW!
Sorry for all the upper case writing...im just completely gobsmacked, awestruck, rendered speechless!. Ok heres the deal, I had* 20fps if that on CC 9/10fps when medium scale explosions occurred. My specs are quite frankly ♥♥♥♥ DirectX* Version: 10.0 Physical Memory: 1013 MB Minimum Graphics Memory: 8 MB Maximum Graphics Memory: 224 MB Graphics Memory in Use: 59 MB Processor: x86 family 6 Model 14 Stepping 12 Processor Speed: 1329 MHZ CC unplayable. I dowloaded a recomended software to boost fps on a game I am playing (minecraft) and it worked got an aditional 15-20 fps on it... so I tryed it with CC I have now a near solid 71 FPS! The software: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.htmlResearch about it if unsure... Instructions: 1-download and run/install 2-open 3-press start boost..let it finish 4-open gamebox...little thing on the side says game box(clickit) 5-open game via game box VOILA hope I helped guys.

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
We have a thread for improving performance in CC, and it has a title that suggests what the thread is about.

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
i don't see how CC is unplayable, i get low FPS all the time and that without any explosions and just about 10 actors (on tut mission, Being the smallest level) and i play it perfectly fine.
now i never tend to trust gamebooster thingys not sure why it just feel like it giving me too much of something without anything in return.

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
Look at the specs. About one GB of physical memory and only 224 MB max graphical memory. How do you manage to run an internet browser without crashing? Jesus, what did you even pay for it, 50 dollars?

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
hey I got a gaming desktop and CC still runs below a full 100 I wish data would put dual threading capability into the engine soon ah well il test this and see if it helps Edit: Works well but my game still doesnt get to realtime but it goes faster I dropped some napalm bombs with a rocketship on dummy assault to test and the explosion wasnt as laggy as it usually is

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
I guess CC doesnt like my desktop then , cause I still get lagged up most times I drop a bomb or do something else, I think it has to do with my desktop having dual cores but not individually super fast ones... oh well btw heres my specs: Proccessor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 GHz RAM: 3.25 GB usable OS: 32 bit windows 7 Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series Space: one 401 GB harddrive and an 187 split in twine so that I can have 18 GB for windows XP games Yep cortex command hates me... maybe I should just get a better processor...

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
well her are some tips which *work* 1) ok go to control panel and type in java open the application up and it should come up with a little window with 5 options/tabs click on the java tab then click view, another window will appear and it'll have 2 blank boxes (Runtime parameters)in those boxes type this exactly: -Xmx***m instead of the *** put at least 1/3 of what your ram is e.g. 3gb = 1024 ect...
2) while running CC open task MGR and go to the processes tab find cortex command, right click go to priority's and click HIGH
3) Download the program at the top/front of this topic and follow instructions
Hope this helped. Oh and theres a nice thread on these forums with many other ways to reduce lag I dont remember whats its called though.

Re: MUST READ.....NOW!
Ive already been to that thread already... and I know how to use task manager, and already downloaded the program, the java thing just wont work though it just has one box without anything in it and it wont let me type anything, I think it might be my resolution though im running at 1024x768 usually but I guess I should lower it since im not playing with anyone else atm
