Post Permament presets saving?
As we know, in the Order Catalog (or Buy Menu...), we can save presets for easier and quicker orders in future.

It's a good feature, but one thing in it annoys me - it has to be re-done every time you start another scenario, which is kinda annoying.
I didn't play campaign much yet, so I don't know if this works like so in it, but...

Would it be better if you would be able to save presets permamently (until you delete them manually)?
I know, there could be some conflicts with mods (somehow...), but...

And why do I use "...' so much?...

...

Right now it's indeed a bit pointless to use. Let's hope that it'll be implemented in the future.

And, gawd, why do you use '...' so much?

If you're desperate, you can manually make presets under a seperate .rte.

I don't mind the '...'...

Having presets that saved through every game, and could be deleted or edited after you make them would be AWEOME
I can agree with you on this one

+1!

The problem would be quite obvious though, it would also save presets from mods. Which means that if you delete mods it will start giving errors and ♥♥♥♥.

Or, the game could just ignore unfulfilled presets, like it ingnores faulty Lua.

Yea, it would.
But Major kinda solved this problem, I suppose.

Because it may be somewhat tedious presetting over and over between skirmishes and campaigns, wouldn't it?

Doesn't faulty .lua cause quite a bit of lag? That would fix it though, thought of that just after posting.

It causes lag depending on the error though. If it's in the create or destroy function it should be minor, if it's in the update function it's a ♥♥♥♥ lag fest.

But if it's loaded when you start the scene, there shouldn't be lag at all, so Major has a point there.

There needs to be a big distinction between these and regular presets (presetname, etc.) to avoid confusion.

If there is a way to run some code in the background of any scripted activity I could make presets like in Unmapped Lands. But there is no way to run it AFAIK.

ya the buy menu presets are intended to be saved somehow.. there's a few problems with it to resolve first though, some of which were touched on here. It'll be addressed eventually :)
