How do I fix jerky mouse cursor motion?
I've read the "Common Issues" and "Troubleshooting" FAQs, and also did a search for related threads, and found nothing, so I'm posting it now. I'm kinda surprised I wasn't able to find a thread about it, considering how long B24's been out.
Anyway, I'm having trouble with mouse (Logitech G9x) cursor issues. I've tried fiddling with Windows' (7 x64 w/SP1) own Mouse Properties, including disabling "Enhance pointer precision" (which actually lessens the "symptoms" but doesn't fix the problem). It seems to be an acceleration issue, as movements over longer "swipes" produce disproportionately longer cursor movements (like, a long stroke moves the cursor further than several short shifts of the same distance as the long stroke). The cursor also "skips" and "jitters" as it moves along the curve of the stroke. I've taken care to make sure that all my drivers are up-to-date, and I'm using the latest SetPoint software as well.
AV programs include: Microsoft Security Essentials Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Pro

In the setpoint software turn off "use native drivers" or what's it called. Had a problem with this before, but not anymore.

Where is this at, I'd love to continue to play this game and buy it for the updates, since I have the Humble Bundle version, but the mouse controls are just too broken. I can't find where this stuff is to change at.

It's nice that some people have a way to fix this, but most probably don't (me included). In my opinion Data needs to look into this. B23 does not have this problem for me. B26 has. Thus Data must have changed something?

Solves the jerky mouse issue for me, but now the sensitivity is way broken...like it has almost no sensitivity at all and it's different for up/down versus left/right. EDIT: And I'm not saying that setting caused the sensitivity issue...it is like that in the first place. It's basically an issue with mouse acceleration being totally borked. If you move slow you will move way too slow, and if you move fast it will jump across the screen faster than you can see it.

Yeah you'll need to turn up sensitivity again, or use the sensitivity gauge to make it like you had it.

Re: How do I fix jerky mouse cursor motion?
@Sly-UX1XN: I take it they're talking about their specific mouse driver/application (Logitech?). Not everyone can create a workaround for this problem this way. Again, I am very sure Data needs to look into this and I hope he will. To avoid the problem you could temporarily play the game in a window.

Re: How do I fix jerky mouse cursor motion?
Actually, in a window it's almost worse...there's this weird mouse stutter where if you move it too slowly the cursor won't move at all, and then it will jump all of a sudden. Interestingly, this only seems to happen in the menu, not the actual game. Which is still annoying because it makes it EXTREMELY difficult to select menu items. And I use a G700 with SetPoint, and that "native OS" setting doesn't do anything to help that. Actually, that setting doesn't help my mouse movement at all... EDIT: Ugh, never mind, it still happens in-game in a window. Just not as pronounced. Still makes aiming nearly impossible.
