I play 4-player CC on my laptop regularly, keyboard only. Yes, it's a little cramped, but we play cooperatively to prevent arguments.

What's the best control scheme for CC in multiplayer? I mean, I use the keyboard + mouse. If a buddy of mine uses a controller, is it viable in combat? Another question: can we play on the same keyboard? And if I use keyboard + mouse I'd have an unfair advantage vs my friend, who just uses the keyboard, am I correct? |

Controllers are pretty much similar to mouse+keyboard in control, except a bit more freedom of movement with a controller and slightly less precision aiming wise. Keyboard vs mouse+keyboard however, now that's pretty damn unfair. |

I've found that when using the mouse it's hard to stay in sharp aim, but easier to quickly aim at things. If you had a mechanical keyboard I would suggest having both of you using only that, it might be a bit cramped, but most balanced. I can't speak for gamepads as I don't use them. |

Gamepads ftw. If you have two, use them. Otherwise, Keyboard+Mouse vs. Gamepad is alright, too. |

4 players on one keyboard would be insane on its own, but laptop? The best I've managed to do is 3 players playing Clonk Planet on one keyboard, and even that was cramped as hell. Also, Clonk needs less keys than CC. I'd like to know how the hell you managed to pull that off. |

Keyboard+mouse/gamepad ♥♥♥♥ with the sharpaim. The mouse user is forced out of sharpaim whenever the gamepadder uses it. |

Keyboard + mouse v/s gamepad or gamepad v/s gamepad. Or you can also plug in 2 keyboards and play keyboard v/s keyboard. |

My keyboard is wide, but my cousin and brother both prefer the mouse, so I usually go keyboard only vs their mouse+keyboard. I usually win, but I find it annoying when they jetpack around shooting me and I can't aim fast enough with the keyboard. I use an LMG for that.

I always do it remote desktop, so the controls can be really closely packed. |
