Post subject:  What Resolution Do You Play On?
Discussion as to what resolutions we all use for playing Cortex Command.

Personally, I prefer 640x480 with a 2X window.

I dislike a lot of the higher resolutions (ie anything higher than, say, 1280x960) because, although nothing on the screen is really "smaller"- you just see more- it all looks smaller, and that's annoying. Also, I've encountered glitches using the high-def resolutions- on 720p, the sides of the screen get blurred and compressed, and on 1080p, the backgrounds (sky layers, distant mountains, etc) seem to "drop away" very quickly whenever you begin moving downwards. The opening intro is also messed up on 1080p, as you can see the planet in the top of the screen, and the slides are all immediately visible in their full size- they don't go from left to right like they're supposed to.

Because I have a widescreen monitor, hence why I play on a 2X. Playing on a non 16:9 res at fullscreen results in stretching. Playing in an HD res like 1280×720, 1366x768, and 1920x1080 either results in blurring or the screen simply becoming too wide.

I'm a bloody sniper, so I play at the highest resolution available to me on whatever screen I have at the time. It changes, you see.

I play 800x600 fullscreen or 640x480 x2 windowed.

800x600. I'd play on 1024x768 if it didn't screw up most maps' backgrounds. :)

Makes it more challenging, also good for testing sprites and offsets in game.

1024*768 fullscreen on my 1080*1920 screen. :P

I too play sniper, usually with the heavy sniper rifle so I need to be able to see my target.

640x480 full screen. Makes a sniper useless, but I only use shotguns and diggers anyway.
