They pick up guns for me, and it always seems to be the OP guns I drop that they grab.

I never see them pick weapons up from the ground anymore. I loved that little feature back then. |

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Also, the AI will always pick up diggers, you can shoot the digger out of its hand (ie the HDFirearm will detatch, not gib) and it will pick the damn thing up before the digger can even move. And your soldiers will pick up any digger near them, which can be very annoying. |

Enemies pick up weapons when they don't have one, so if an enemy soldier has it's gun destroyed, it'll pick up the next it walks over. |

With he next build the AI routines will be implemented in Lua scripts, so you can add or change any behavior to fit your exact needs! Combined with the custom pie menu options, you should be able to roll your own AI modes completely if you like.. |
