This game is beyond me. First time I booted it up I was so lost, but I think I am beginning to understand the game... a little. The tutorial is not clear on a few things. OK, so it's a kind of strategy, side scrolling action thing, right? The object is to (usually) destroy the other brain. You mine gold as a resource and by means provided by the buy menu you try to eliminate your opponent's brain, right? I feel like either the game is buggy or I'm super bad at it.

-Why are my commands given to AI so poorly executed? (gold mining just fires a digger in the sky and the combat stances just seem to wank around)
-Why does 50% of my orders crash and fling items all over the map? Do you have to be SUPER careful what you buy, what it comes in and where you land for minimal purchasing ? (Once I figured out I could create crab bombs I started to have fun.)
-Is there multi-player? (Can me and friends play against one another? Against computers? Sharing same brain?)
-Is there a way to fly without doing a pelvic thrust?
-When you mine gold I often find small pieces falling into dirt that falls and it's difficult to snatch it. I have to thrash my feet and the digger around until I get it. I find the best way to mine is to mine under gold and let if fall on your face. This true?
-Is Brain vs Brain a skirmish mode? I set up myself but then it just gives me a win. How do I set up my opponent/make them work?
-Other suggestions for a nub at this game?

Edit: I almost made two threads (or tried to) because I didn't realize it had to be approved. I submitted it and thought: Where did it go?? I thought something glitched. Glad I didn't remake it.

-I start up a mission, I can't even remember what it is, and I make my spiffy bunker, my robo-dudes, my brain and hit start then I insta-win? How do you actually start a game in this game? About the only things I can do in this game is play the tutorial, dig around or spawn a zillion crabs.

Whoa, ok!

1. AI sucks, as previously established. Don't even bother with it.
2. Rockets and drop ships are not to be trusted, unless you use Abdul's modded ones (also previously established).
3. Yup, multi-player is possible, up to four players / teams, selected in the pre-game-choose-controls-thing.
4. Nope, you gotta pelvic thrust your way around the map.
5. Yeah, it happens. Just edit vanilla nade to cost -1000oz or something. Or you can use the Cash for Kills mod.

To make a game work: You've gotta assign an AI player, chosen in the pre-game-choose-controls-thing, otherwise you win automatically. Do this by clicking on the slot under the AI symbol that you want the AI to play as. Else you win instantly.

My brain is smush so I probably missed heaps.

If you want to play against the AI, use the Skirmish Battle from the drop-down menu. The AI will then drop enemies at the bunker you builded.

You gotta set the cpu chip to team 2, 3 or 4.
Enemies would then appear in skirmish.

Uh, you don't have to touch gold to get it. Shooting it with your digger does the trick, though there is residue you can shoot your digger at again.

Yeah you have, diggers just make them fly towards your actor.

Is there a way to play multi-player over the Internet?

There's a mod out there that lets you, but no official way.

Could you direct me to said mod, good sir?

Could you learn to use the search tool effectively? Also the online mod currently has no servers up and running unless you want to host one. Read the entire thread for more information.

No. Almost every forum search tool I've tried to use is broken. Besides, you answering my questions means me spending less time.

Don't bother with the existing scenarios, they're rubbish. There are some excellent single player missions in the Scenes section of the forum, anything by Weegee is really good (Make sure they're updated for B24). I've had the most fun in CC with these missions. If you can't beat one of them, download another and give it go.
