Abnormally Frequent Crashes: Is your B24 doing that?(Update)
Anyone thinks B24 crashes way too often? My B24 could crash when I'm doing absolutely nothing. Just minding my own business, shooting some clone in the head, then crashes. Is anyone getting this?
So let's have a poll, how frequent does your B24 crashes? Using B23 as comparison. If you have not played B23, then try to relate to the later portion of each option.

Only times it has crashed for me is when I try to mod past 1 am and at times when a dreadnought gibs, though the latter is less frequent than it is on B23.

The only times either version crashed for me is on occasion when I killed a dreadnought in a particularly brutal manner (e.g. modded overpowered weapons of doom). I have never experienced "random" crashes.

Dreadnoughts, dread them not for their guns, dread them for their crashes! But yeah i don't experience crashes too often, unless the code demons which show up at 12am.

Re: Abnormally Frequent Crashes: Is your B24 doing that?(Update)
The only times I get crashing is occasionally when a dreadnought that still has its turret gets killed. This happens with about 5% of dreadnought deaths. And while we're on the subject of dreadnoughts, dreadnoughts with no legs or turret sometimes just fall through the ground, so maybe adjust those atomgroups and/or deepgroups to fix that too, while you're at it. Or perhaps these issues could even be related?

I get more crashes when things get wild. Not to say that it crashes soley because of that, but that it happens more often in that case as opposed to B23.
Which means the game runs better normally, but nukes itself when it does slow down.

I've only ever had "random crashes" on B22. B23 and 24 have been pretty good to me. Unless I deploy Lua. Then all bets are off.

Yeah same here, few crashes,
although it does occasionally when HUGE moments happen
like a person gets diggered while shooting a Gatling gun. It seems the game tends to crash during moments like these.? (its both a statement and a question)

Just had a game and I'm tired of it. A Green Storm light machine gun bullet hits an MDC mini walking turret, then bam, crash. Most of the time it freezes, but it just crashes this time.
Is anyone getting this? Just regular events happening then freezes or crashes?
Could it be some background software that affects CC? Or is it a RAM problem?

Apparently Mr C discovered running it in XP SP3 makes for less crashes.
Not that I get many anyway.

That could be some ♥♥♥♥ - I wouldn't blame it on vanilla CC screwing up, considering it was two mods doin' ♥♥♥♥.

I am having a huge problem with this actually, I even had it when it was a fresh install with no mods. I have Windows 7 64-bit, I wonder if that could be a connection? I know Cortex Command only runs on one core, but the windows 7 part could be doing it.

And I've been running the game on W7 64-bit for about a year now. Never had a crash that wasn't due to my own dicking around with the engine.

I have W7 64-bit and it crashes every five minutes. I don't think it's due to the OS.
