What do YOU use for spriting?
I use mspaint, only three 'undo's, and 8x zoom. I made that in like 5 seconds. To make this thread different. Ha. PLEASE OH PLEASE I NEED A GOOD (Free) PROGRAM.... What do you use, any suggestions?

Paint.net. Almost as simple as paint, with unlimited undos, layers and transparency.

Re: What do YOU use for spriting?
This list contains just about every paint program I've ever heard of. I can personally suggest the GIMP, GraphicsGale(free addition, as the pay one doesn't add much. I don't know why people would use Paint.NET when they could use this, as it is a charm to use, and a little more powerful), and Pro Motion(Easily the best art program I've ever used, but I can't afford the $80US ).

Re: What do YOU use for spriting?
Actually, it might help some because of familiarness to mspaint.

Depends if you've gotten used to doing tricks with it and working fast using its simplicity.

Re: What do YOU use for spriting?
I think this is like the thousandth thread on this.
MSPaint for cool kids and Graphics Gale for people who need all sorts of crutches.
(JK you're probably better off with GG).

Re: What do YOU use for spriting?
But it's so slow to use! There aren't any features that make it faster, and as far as animating sprites go, it's useless. Besides the fact that the Windows 7 version of Paint is completely useless for pixel art anything that isn't scribbling.

Re: What do YOU use for spriting?
I'm sorry to ask, but can you even sprite? This is like Rosie O'Donnell complaining that a certain treadmill is completely useless.

Re: What do YOU use for spriting?
I make adventure games, and so yes, I sprite. I am also shite at it, and get other people to do it whenever possible,l but that isn't always possible or viable.
