Post That Fing training
Seriously how fricken hard can it be to shoot the enemies and kill the brain?
Could someone please explain me the horrible difficulty ramp that

1: Jetpack up
2: Shoot enemies
3: Jetpack more
4: Shoot the rest of the enemies

involves?

POINT ONE: People have to get used to jetpacking and aiming at the same time.

POINT TWO: The above is particularly hard if you only use a keyboard and no mouse.

POINT THREE: The enemies shoot back, and with nerfed jetpacks, you're typically unable to get out of the way fast enough if you don't see it coming. Hang around for one second too much, and you'll be torn to pieces by a dreadnought MG. Literally. It takes no more than a second to fatally injure your poor dude.

POINT FOUR: You've been acquaintanced with CC for FOUR YEARS. Newcomers don't have that advantage. In fact, they're being thrown into an entirely new game, barely accustomed to the convoluted controls, and then they have to survive a full-blown dummy assault.

POINT FIVE: Some people aren't naturals. It's like expecting people NOT to die a million times in Super Meat Boy on their first time. It just isn't going to happen unless that person is an absolute platforming god with kung fu ninja reflexes on speed.

POINT SIX: With all due respect for the level designer, it's a very badly thought through training mission. The enemies are naught but a few strides away from your brain, and you get what, one armed dummy against two dreads and more dummies? It can't possibly be true that people have to PREDICT THE FUTURE and buy 3 coalition heavies armed with revolver cannons in order to beat the TRAINING MISSION. I know CC isn't a kiddie game, but come on! Even the bunker is just inviting the enemies to drop by (literally) and shoot your brain to mush. There's a huge drop, you say? Oh wait, the AI automatically counters that with jetpack. Then it's just a light stroll before they can fill your helpless brain with holes.

That's what it involves.

Training mission reminds you of Ninja Gaiden difficulty if it's just your one guy with a gun.

Perhaps he never developed the motor skills required to play video games when he was young?
Like most of us?

It took me half an hour to learn that tapping the jetpack key was the best way to not die. My guess is that most people don't have a lot of ingenuity.
