New players: The AI is dumb. Get used to it, there is no workaround. Use the Independent R2 droid in the mod zone if you want a decent grunt to use. That is all. Now stop posting the same topic over and over. |

Clever how? I think it's the actor with the best walkpaths, allowing it to navigate a lot easier than the other clumsy large-footed actors. |

Larger feet are actually better when well coded, due to the actor's weight being distributed along a bigger surface area. |

Thank you! I was actually quite curious about this. I've been digging through the modding forums looking for AI updates, but haven't had much success. It's nice to see some helpful veterans. |

People who spam topic about the AI are generally the type of people who won't think to search around first, this topic only spams up the forum more. |

True, but the AI is endearing in its own way. The tactics it enforces are only slightly less hilarious then the first time I saw Monty Python, it's a gaggle of geese with high powered weaponry and I ADORE IT. |

Sadly, it seems that the autonomous combat droid is only for the B23 release, which HIB purchasers are unable to access. I'm new here though, so perhaps I am mistaken. Here's the link I found for it: http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?p=387337#p387337 |

You can always try it and check if it works. If it doesn't you can wait a couple of days so that the author releases a compatible version. |

I tried it out and got an error message. I'll just wait it out. The AI isn't smart, but it still works well enough to make some game modes pretty awesome. |

The Independent ACD does work in b24 seemingly fine (though I think the materials changes made it even more resilient than before), it is just he mission bundled with it to demo it that does not work in b24. I just updated the activities with that module to make a b24 compatible skirmish scenario that works just fine for testing it. |
