   |   Questions from a HIB2 CC buyer and CC noob in generalSo, a couple days ago I picked up the HIB2 and toyed around a bit with CC. I am not savvy with "Lua" or any such thing, really - I'm just a "lay idiot" gamer, I just play the things. Am I getting into something that is beyond my "abilities" here? Am I going to have to learn how to mod and such to really be able to enjoy this game? Am I wasting my time with CC?

Learning some coding does help drastically when it comes to errors in CC.

   |   Re: Questions from a HIB2 CC buyer and CC noob in generalIf the game gets boring, [which it may never do, depending on your personal taste] then entertain yourself by learning to mod, then have fun with your own creations. You learn some respect for the effort it takes other people to do things, and you learn how to behave. You mature and people respect you.

That's always fun.I modified an auto pistol to fire earth shattering rounds that hit with enough recoil to keep you airborne endlessly. It also sails through snow and sand like it isn't there and sends enemies flying away minus their extermities. Point is OP, go nuts for your own amusement. Fun and easy.

   |   Re: Questions from a HIB2 CC buyer and CC noob in generalCC is the most mod-able game I've seen so far. If you have notepad, paint and half a brain you can start your own stuff pretty easily.
I'd even reach out and compare CC to legos. If you don't like what comes within the box you can change stuff around to your liking, which only requires some ingenuity and creativity.
