I notice in skirmish mode, and other 'endless' modes, there is no longer a kill counter. Without a kill counter these modes are even more pointless. Used to be, I'd test how good my base was by seeing if I could get to 300 AI kills, and compare that to how many of my own forces were lost. Now I really can't tell. There's a lot of 'meh' in B24, considering how long it's been and all (I had to re-register just to post this!), but removing the kill counter is a definite un-feature. |

I completely agree with you, I think i'm going to have to go back to my B23 version, since the kill counter was a pretty big part of the game for me. Although there are some pretty good modders and I think one of them will make a mod to add a kill counter. |

I agree, the skirmish kill-counter was the only way to judge my performance. I was shocked it was removed, and for no reason I could discern. |

Yeah, it took a little bit of the fun out of playing the game for six hours straight. |

Massacre has a timer, it's simply a matter of adding team 1 and transplanting it to other scenes. |

To make it actually look good, it might be best to reincorporate a frag count as a gui feature of the brain, since that way you wouldn't use areas of of the screen gui that may be used by other stuff, and you could have some graphics to make it look a bit nicer. |

It would be nice if Massacre let you separately define the number of frags necessary vs enemy reinforce time vs the amount of money you have. Right now if you want to afford a big, expansive base you'd be playing on easy mode and after all that work it'd be done after, oh, 10 kills or so. It would be nice if you didn't need to dive into modding the game full-bore, and you could just pick a map, get lots of funds to build a huge base, and then deal with a nigh-endless torrent of baddies that spawn in rapidly. Back to the topic though, Massacre isn't the same as being able to see the kill vs death counter and deciding how well you're doing on your own, and not ending right when things are getting good. Sometimes I just have X amount of time to play and I don't want to stop playing until I'm done, and having that K vs D score board gives it a little context and meaning. |

We're planning a separate stats screen at the end of each game, showing these things. Might do something you can bring up with a key command too, like the Ctrl+P does for perf stats. The always-on kill counter was taking up valuable HUD clutter space before. |
