Post subject:  Tips?

I just bought the game today, and I am wondering if you have any tips on how to be better at the game... I'm not too good, but I still enjoy the game. Any help? Thanks!

you can practice shooting by using the reflectobot Mk.2, because its basically invincible.

(it helps to aim in this game XD)

EDIT: a mission sutch as exodus ( viewtopic.php?f=24&t=19003 ) might help too.

Don't use Reflective Robot for target practice, it lives up to its name.

Try going through Dummy Assault with one heavily armed soldier.

1. Learn the controls.
2. Using only vanilla content, start screwing around by yourself.
3. Bring a friend over, and play with him.
4. Discover that you've become better.
I was going to put something insulting down here, but I decided that I've been a little mean lately, so I'll tell a joke instead. What's the difference between a dead snake in the road and a dead lawyer in the road? There are skid marks in front of the snake!

Depends on what you are using to play.

I dont have any controllers and mouse controlling caused uncontrollable vomiting, so I'm sticking with keyboard.

Most important thing is definetly flying in general, and aiming while doing so. Switching weapons and learning to aim without sharpdots is good too.

...Gmod captured my mouse, I'm done.

Get Darkstorm and things will be easier.

He wants to be better, not make things easier.

Well, the obvious thing to do is practice, that's what any advice will boil down to. If you want specific tips, is there anything in particular that you're bad at?

They'll be better as well.

ffs he wants tips on how to improve his ability at the game. Suggesting mods blindly in spite of that shows persistent idiocy =_=; learn when to drop it or at least acknowledge when you're wrong.

Practice makes perfect OP, target practice especially.
go here: download/file.php?id=32135 play on that scene in ascending difficulty (easy until you're bored or dead, then medium, then hard, then death, then drill death for a while). You'll get better at the game very quickly.

Learn how to booster jetpack to fly properly (hitting W/jump in time to get the best controlled flight).
Learn which guns you like, and which actually do damage. Protip: Revolver cannon good, Autocannon meh. Coalition rifles good, Dummy pistols good.
Learn how to dodge bullets. Diving and crawling are useful.
Practice melee combat. Diving at the enemy, jetpacking and headshots while you are sat on them are all useful.

I'd recommend getting Map Pack 3, and just leaving it installed, always. The same applies to Unitec, in a lesser degree. Those two mods contribute a lot, and are perfectly balanced with Vanilla, so they never feel like cheating.

Well I don't know about UniTec, it's assault rifles are pretty goddamn powerful.
