Post Land, Sea, and Air.
Now that CC has Land (vehicles such as Alhazred's tanks), Sea (akblablabla's Hydro mod), and Air (Alhazred's Gunship and Grif's Plane), let's brainstorm what else could we make. And then let's make it.
Some idea that's floating around, for starters:
-APCs
-Submarines
-SOLG
-vehicle hijacking system
-underwater mines (the one on chains)
-depth charges

-fishes
-squids
-jellyfish
-SHARKS
-lifevests (keep you afloat)
-boats
-amphibious units (APC, Plane that lands on water...)
-torpedoes for subs
-a jumping board for swimming pools

Don't forget mining machines!
I still want to see a good underground area-denial system for planting mines underground so that diggers are "discouraged" from digging there.

I would like to see skirmish activities in the next build where the entire map is underwater. The enemy would spawn with submarines or those small underwater jet skies.

I think the maps could be significantly bigger to hold all the stuff.

Also, we don't need life-vests since you auto-float anyways.

I would like to see some vehicles working.

BP oil rigs...

No but seriously, now we have air and land, water would be an interesting endeavour.

Amphibious vehicles (eg hovercraft) would be cool for when you need to ass-rush across water onto an enemy base.

Might I just add that water is awesome and would change the gameplay so much and add a crapton of possibilities to missions and scenes if it ever gets optimized and hardcoded into the game as vanilla content. Diving for treasure, underwater bunker modules (imagine the side of a shaft being blown in and water flooding and crushing any unit unfortunate enough to be in the shaft), the added stealth factor (can't see underwater unless you're in it, but while underwater you can only see terrain on the topside), or maybe even small aquifers/a water table as added obstacles for mining.

But ah, I'm pipe dreaming again. This will probably never happen. I can definitely see some actors designed for usage around water, and maybe even a boat or hovercraft or two, but I really can't see it ever becoming an integral part of CC.

I'm somewhat skeptical of full blown water physics. But, and i'm not sure of this, what if there were to be Falling Sand style physics? Blood and dirt behave similarly.

If only it were possible to have Pixeljunk Shooter-esque water in this. The best I'd figure it'll be able to get is Clonk-level, and it will NEVER get that good because water physics would rape the engine anyway.

Falling sand games handle vastly less particles at any given moment than CC does, and that's not even counting the massive amount of more complex logic the game's doing.

BTW does anyone remember classical game called Wings ? It had water physics. Cant find it on google, must have been not very popular or it was named differently cant remember. It was a game with some planes with vide arsenal shooting each other, it also had 4 player split screen. In this game you could destroy terrain and the water would flow through the hole.

Anyways we already have water in some shape now i want molten lava.

Just threw some pretty awesome (nearly lag free) lava together. Though no sprites, but you can just use hydro's water backgrounds for now.

It burns everyone in the lava with shiny flame effects and those who just stands above it gets slight lift but gets weakened by the heat. The gibs also burns for extra awesomeness.

You can't use this with hydro yet, but i'll do that later.

Just did a quick Google search for 'Wings Game Water Physics' and got sent to the Fun-Motion boards. They mentioned Wings 2 having better water physics than a game called 'TOU' and so I searched Wings 2 Game. Came up with this - http://www.wings2.net/
