I'd love to start getting people into missions. People entering with awesome missions would be really great. Shouldn't there be a mission contest, too?

Only problem is, if there were a Mission Contest, either TLB would win because the scene it took place on would be ♥♥♥♥, or, more likely, Weegee would kick everyone's asses because he's a god deific entity flamazing mission maker.

I've tried mission making before and in my opinion it's a little more difficult than scripting other things, so not many people do it. That might just be my lack of mission-making experience, however, perhaps mission-makers say something similar to scripting for devices and other things?

There might not be many, or even any entries, because of the time it takes to learn Lua (or people just aren't willing).

And what Ociamarru said.

That's why there is third place.

LOL. Don't forget the Honorable Mention, too.
Well anyways, it might be better to just have a scene contest, and missions could be included for, say, bonus points, or somthing. They could also be included in a separate Ladder or somthing along that line.

I'll need to put effort into it if this actually happens.

But it's not that hard! It takes a little bit to get used to, because it's a different mindset than making a super-gun, but it's not that much harder than making a mod! Just look at this amazing tutorial! It helped me so much! If we made a competition, it would motivate mission makers to pump out more awesome missions, and motivate non-mission makers to start! It'd be great! And besides, plenty of people know Lua that aren't making missions. And people who don't know Lua can learn it easily because Lua is not that complicated a programming language. The tutorial also has line-by-line commenting, which would make it even easier to learn.

I think a scene contest would be cool, too. Overall, Cortex command has loads mod-wise, but desperately needs more missions and fun maps. With all our mods we have loads of content, but due to lacking lots of maps and missions, we have not enough room to put it in. CC would be a better game with more maps and missions.

I would totally run a mod contest/mission contest for the subtitle, Cricket. I wanna be a MOD CONTEST RUNNER! Just imagine, as the masses see me, instead of just saying 'Meh, it's Ociamarru, what a boring and unimportant person', they will say, 'LOOK! The gods be with us, for it is OCIAMARRU, the runner of a MOD CONTEST!' I am envious of you...

More like, 'Oh, Ociamarru, now apparently a Mod Contest Runner.'

You can't crush my dreams no matter how hard you try, Lizard!

Ya know there'll be different tiers of mod runners. You'd start at the bottom.

The bottom of the top is still pretty damn high, sir.

But still the bottom.
