Okay, so I couldn't find a "Help! Cortex Command is screwing up on me!" topic. So, I decided to ask about it here.

As the topic name states, even though all the mod folders have .rte tags, the content will not- WILL NOT show up when I load the game. I even have modloader, which says that all the mods I want are checked off- But they still won't show up!

what mods do you have? is the vanilla (coalition, dummies, undead, browncoat) appearing? What version of CC do you have?

Take it out of program files, vista ♥♥♥♥ with files located there.

Vanilla is appearing. Good. I don't have the really common mods, just some ones from another website devoted to CC.

I have version 23, the latest... And, it's not Vista... Just plain XP.

We'll have to see or know of these mods to help you.

Well, make sure that the .rte file contains an index.ini, which should contain a line with datamodule in it. Sometimes if you extract a folder, there's still another .rte folder (or folders) that you'd have to put outside first.

Yes, but he says he manages to get in game, so I don't think it would be a syntax error. It might be a tabbing error though, or some other strange error depending on his mods. But yeah, to know for sure we need to know what mods he's using.

Are the mods all in the root CC directory and where in-game are you checking for mods?

Yea, I've been curious as to what is this "site" thats devoted to CC, I only recall there being the modDB, but I can't recall any fansites.

There's been at least one. I stumbled upon a Russian fansite that was silently indexing all the mods produced here. I can't read Russian, so I got no farther in understanding whether or not they gave us credit. And now I don't remember the link.

EDIT: Nevermind, good thing I keep records of my pms. Looks like they wiped their forum, all of the stuff I saw back then is gone.

This is where I've been getting the mods. Except for one named OAU.

They, when I extracted my mods, already had the .rte tag, so I thought there'd be no problem.

Anyway, I can think of no reason the ModDB mods wouldn't work. You're saying that the game loads correctly, yes?

I distinctly remember the demo not loading mods but that was a few builds ago. And the demo still tells you that you can't load mods, too. But it's my bad for not looking it up.
