Where is the logic in putting the most fragile part of their bodies in a glass case, wouldnt you think they would armor it as much a possible if it is supposed to be a supreme commander? Gameplay wise I can understand, but why glass? |

There is a heavy brainbot but the sprite for that is awful. I assume it's so the brain can see with their eyes althought it'd be nice for it for be heavily armoured but with a small vulnerable eye slit. |

Brain? Eyes? What? If you have the tech to keep brains alive by themselves, then there's little point in leaving them with puny biological eyes. |

and it shows in the second slide that they are just brains too? |

It's science fiction. It's not supposed to make sence. |

It's also not supposed to be flat out illogical. It just doesn't make any sense to put a brain into a non-reinforced glass case, out in the open, easily sploded by a (lucky or otherwise) sniper rifle round. |

Maybe the brainbots wern't made for war, so theres no need for the armour. |

The devs are considering having all wildlife on the planet crab-descended. The tone is clearly supposed to be pretty light. Brains in bell jars: it's a classic image! |

While that is indeed retarded, it isn't illogical. If all animal life is based on crabs, then there were only crabs at one time. That has a reason, albeit a retarded one. Putting a very fragile and vital brain inside an equally fragile case, now that is just a stupid idea, and is no real logic or reason behind it. |

Yeh but they eyes are actually part of the brain and tbh if they can't be bothered putting armour around the most vital part of your army, I doubt they're gonna bother adding bionic eyes. |

The optic nerves are part of the brain, not the eyes themselves. And neither the nerves nor eyes are crucial to the brain. |

Cool science fiction design. Its to show back story in CC. How living things have evolved and have moved their own living brains into machines and technology. It shows organics don't play a big role anymore and that this is the future. If it was just a Robot we wouldn't get the same feel. |

As mentioned before, there ARE heavily armored brain actors. But when you are starting out as a poor little start-up prospector, you can't afford to have an expensive armor'd brains. Supposedly, as you continue in the game, and you get richer and richer as a prospector, you'll get better brain cases. That is, when the campaign is finished. Anyway, the brains can look in on the battle field from the 3rd Dimension. It's much less limiting than puny biological eyes. :p |

It isn't impossible, even today iirc, to hook up a camera to an optic nerve and just have the camera be outside an armored brain case. Much more possible with future technology too, so no reason at all really to have a glass brain case. And if you are really so set on keeping the real eyes, then make an armored brain case, and put a wraparound screen connected to exterior cameras on the inside. TADA, THE ILLUSION OF SIGHT. EDIT: Oh, what the *hearts*. I got ninja'd by both Zalo AND scope. |
