Hi everyone. I discovered that game maybe a week ago and simply had to buy it. Now i've been looking for some game enhancing mods, but most of them are more like fun mods. I'm looking for more balanced actors/weapons/stuff that fit into the game. Any suggestions? Aside from that I'm looking for some new maps. Any mappacks that you could recommend? |

Maps: anything by TheLastBanana (for entertainment value) and anything by weegee (for amazing mission value) Mods: Darkstorm is easily one of the most polished and fairly balanced mod-packs in existence. Novamind is arguably overpowered, but costs shittons. |

Thanks for the quick answers. A few more questionspopped up in my mind. What about alternative income possibilities? Is there Troop/Weapon deployment via teleporter? Any mods that feature multiple melee weapons? |

Any mods that feature melee weapons? You can pick up weapons that enemies drop, that's about it if you don't want to mine gold. Not that I know of, no. But I think it could be requested in the Mod Making > Requests section of the board. I know of a lightsaber that someone made but I'm not sure about any more. More could easily be made. |

Teleportation for troop deployment isn't possible, rest assured that as soon as it is Darlos9D (maker of DarkStorm) will do it. For alternative income, there's some things, but most people just use "money cheats", often items with negative goldcost (giving you positive income) Darkstorm also features melee combat of sorts, and there are some other pseudo melee weapons. |

I forget which one it was but one of my favorite melee weapons was one that had emitters on it to that you could swing it around without clicking and it would deal damage. |

Thank you. I'll look into all that stuff. I actually expected to get flamed for my thread, so thats a very positive suprise A very nice community this game has. Any other Mods that you are using and could recommend? And does difficulty has any impact, except for respawn times? (If not, how much does it ifluence respawn times?) |

Most activities have a hardest respawn time of 8000 and an easiest of 200000. Medium and hard are calculated out of those, and I believe it refers to how often to spawn the next drop. Different activities files may change the times, but those are standard. |

In the activities folder it has listings of the difference in spawn time in milliseconds. I also heard of another mod, it's supposed to be very funny. It has bubbles and stuff. I think there is a link in my signature. *Whistles innocently* |

I think the mod that went with it was something along the lines of Castle creations, something like that. The Diemos Federation isn't too overpowered. It's mostly just the weapons that are overpowered, Especially the cannons they're near invincible. The creator DSMK2 hasn't been here from what I know, He also made DS Tech but don't even click that if you want balance. |

It has crap-load of weapons, actors and modules, would fit most of your needs. I personally leave it a permanent mod in my CC folder. Though many of its stuff are powerful, even though they look vanilla-ish. The Banana Federation is balanced too. Sprites aren't too good, but I love sending monkeys to battle. Ooo ooo eekk oooo aa! |
