   |   Jetpack glitchSorry about the slightly random post but I was wondering about a problem with the jetpack, it could be concidered a feature but by tapping the jetpack button quickly you get better speed and strength out of the jetpack.
I just wanted to know if anyone else knew about this. Also I have a GlovePIE script that can use this to turbo-boost the jetpack by holding R

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchThis is a common fact. It's known as jet-tapping.

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchIt is present because AEmitters have a feature for "bursting", multiplying regular emissions by some scalar and using the modified burst emission as the first emission. When you tap the pack button, you're causing the emitter to toggle on and off rapidly, leading to a lot of burst emissions, which are more powerful than regular emissions.

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchJet bursting is told of in the tutorial, and entirely intentional. "Fire jetpack in bursts for better control" Middle screen, bottom floor. Samohan25 wrote: Also I have a GlovePIE script that can use this to turbo-boost the jetpack by holding RThat's cheating. There are countless easy ways to cheat anyway. No one cares about cheating in CC, unless you play multiplayer, or gloat over some form of achievement obtained by using it. You might rob yourself of the fun of a challenge though.

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchThis is easily modifiable. Some mods increase or decrease this effect; all it requires is the BurstScale variable to be modified.

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchThis glitch will be fixed in B24, so no more glitching with your jetpacks! It allows you to stay in the air forever so it needs to be fixed.

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchHow do you fix it anyway?Just make the burst size much smaller and make the jump walkpath more effective?

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchOne of two options. One, Data makes some changes that drain jetpack fuel in proportion to the burst, so that no matter what you do you always get the same amount of up and over. Two, they remove the burst.

Let's run through this in order: you are a content developer (disputably?) you are not in charge of gameplay decisions you are not the authority on what happens with CC bursting has been in play for years data has yet to change it officially since you seem to want to make his game for him so much, how about you take a little lesson on a thing called emergent gameplay see, burst-packing is something you learn that adds to the experience you want to go be retarded and remove the one thing that makes movement practical in CC you go on ahead have fun killing data's sales until he fixes walking or reverts the dumb changes you made without anyone's authority but your own

   |   Re: Jetpack glitchWhy do we need burst-jetting anyays? I can kinda see how having bursts is good for evasive jumps, but not really.
 Less jet packing would:
-Make the AI more fun to play against, they won't randomly fly into the sky or at your base, crippling themselves on collision.
-Make people more fun to play against, they'll actually have to take time to get to your base, and maybe actually touch the ground.
