Just wondering how people came onto the scene. I was on the Phun *a 2D physics simulator* forums and I saw someone's sig with a Dreadnought blowing a door down and smearing 2 coalition clones. I became curious and asked and received the name. I've been around since B20 or so. Anyone else's experiences? (I hope this isn't a duplicate of a recent thread) |

I joined a hella long time ago. Dec 14, 2006. Build 9. Buddy of mine showed me fun-motion.com cause I was talkin about how I needed something to enterain me for a little while. |

I think I was on Addicting Games and then I think I looked up a game to see if there was a new version of it and somehow I ended up finding CC. I think. |

I was on a madness interactive forum and someone said moose produce in a classical games thread. I said wtf is that they said nvm so I google images'ed it and it came up with a picture of a coalation and it said "Cortex Command Produced by Data Realms. twards the end of built 18 I bought full game in B19. |

I was bored, and desperate for a new game. I didn't have any good console, and I used a mac. When I saw CC, I instantly thought 'cheap', not knowing that it was the most addictive game I would ever play. I continued searching and found nothing mac compatible. So I went back, thought 'what the hell' and downloaded it. I played it. I loved it. I won the tutorial level on my first attempt simply by digging out the ground underneath the dummies and individually dropping each of them off the bottom of the map. The digger physics got me hooked. After a week I became bored. Then I learned that mods needed mac conversion. So I looked for mods that wouldn't work. That path led me to start modding, and today I am still working on countless projects, none of which I have released yet. |

My sister stumbled upon fun-motion.com one day while browsing the net, but dismissed it as boring (She doesnt like physics games that much). I saw it, with its frontpage featuring some fireworks simulator, thought it was the coolest thing ever. I went back to funmotion, played some other games, and withing a week discovered CC. |

Word of mouth. Friend showed me it, another friend showed him it, his cousin or something showed him it. I found it during build 13, broke my install with noobish base.rte edits and never bothered fixing it in build 14, and I reinstalled during build 17 or 18. |

I found it a couple of years ago when I still lived in America. I got bored and Googled games with physics. After digging through several pages I found CC. I forgot about it, then around a year and a half ago Wolfire reminded me of it, then I downloaded it and have been playing since. |
