I had a heavy coalition standing with the chip, Dropship MK1 above him.
I decided to put the brain in first but it hit the engine flame, I saw that the dropship slowly floating downwards toward the coalition and the engine flame first hit the control chip and destroyed it, then melting the coalition.

I tested it a second time and got the same results, the chip wasn't destoyed on ground, but only when it was held by an actor.

And the moral of the story is use the DSTech Titan, its engines are further from the door.

No, I think it's the fact that the chip is destroyable, that or what you said.

Another moral of the story would be the control chip lasts longer on the battlefield than your standard clone.

You know, you can just create some super strong custom material and replace any unit's normal composition with it.

Or give it a very high GibWoundLimit, which is what the control chip actually does.

That mission really wasn't that hard...I don't get how you actually managed to destroy the Control Chip..... :0 Try not holding the Control Chip, and instead the weapon your actor has.

I used a Heavy Clone with a Gattling Gun, and gave one to my Brain too. After the :-o I just put them next to each other and picked them up with a Dropship-MKII. If it doesnt work at first, put some distance between the actors, or just pick up whoever carries the Control Chip.

EDIT: The mission wasn't made impossible, and shouldn't need any mods to beat.
