And yes, they are working on it. Don't you pay attention to the devlogs? It's been updated at least once every three months for a while now.

But i wondered if they worked alot on it.

Not as fast as one would hope, but they're working on it. It should start picking up soon enough.

I'd rather he take a long time and keep up the quality we are accustomed to rather than do a rushed job.

Who are you to say? Stop being an impatient child and wait instead of demanding constantly. Data & co. can't stay up 24/7 just coding, spriting and testing constantly just to appease you. They have lives too, believe it or not. Just look at Data, he's got massive muscles.
