Post Keyboard configuration
I have always been a keyboard+mouse person, but I want to invite my friend to play CC with me, so to make it fair both of us should not use the mouse.

It is time for all ye keyboard users to revel your configurations!!!!

*Ahem, I mean: Does anyone of you have a user-friendly configuration that you can suggest? Please list out which key for which function. Thanks for the help guys!

WASD for movement, H for shoot, J for sharpaim, K for inventory, L for jetpack. N to crouch, Y and U to switch bodies.

If you're used to WASD for movement you might want to try QE for actor switching, and maybe X for crouch, but I <3 my setup.

By the way, I tried using a game pad, very old game pad, with only 8 directions available.

Is there no crouch button for a game pad? I can go without crouching, but it seems it is impossible to select buy menu with an actor as it is located at 11:00 o'clock on the circular menu, but CC recognizes D-pad with only 4 directions. So mad....

If you have a 360, use the controller.
They work great.

No they don't, actually :|

Jetpacking with the stick feels uncomfortable, and if you switch it to a button then you have to navigate the menus with the buttons.

Really?
I use a 360 controller exclusively, and from other user's videos I can tell I have much more control over the body.

WASD movement, H fire, J sharp aim, K pie menu, L jepack, I crouch. I is crouch because it's easier to reach for than keys below it. I can do pretty much anything with this scheme now (e.g. battle rolls, aiming with a sniper mid-air) but it's taken a lot of practice.

I love useing the key board myself, but my ghetto keyboard can only handle 3 keys at the same time, so 1 player is hard, and 2 player is impossible. I resort to using WSAD and mouse.

I love my 360 controller for this, although I've used ps3 controllers as well. Anything with dual analogs is fun.
Best solution for a 4-player game is 4 controllers (or three and one at the keyboard and/or mouse) and a 32" TV for the display.
Gets damn epic.
When I play with a keyboard, I like using WASD for movement and the numpad for buttons, just because it's a more natural distance between my hands.

is it just me, or did the numpad stop working for 2 player?
I used to play with my friend using the default controls, but then numpad stopped working. So now I have to use the gamepad (which I like anyways) and he uses the player one mouse configuration.
Single player keyboard I use the default. It works pretty well I think. the only weird thing is the crouch, and how often do you really need to use that?

WASD for movement, H shoot, J aim, K piemenu, L jets, X Crouch and Y,U for switching bodies.

I dislike the mouse aim because when I aim with a mouse I want a goddamn crosshair and in CC you only get those 3 dots while you stand still. argh.

And movement and aiming much more clumsy and retarded with the mouse + keyb. scheme. However mouse + keyb. is superior in menu use and bunker building.
So when I build bunkers, I use that scheme, but keyb classic when actually playing.

My controls are arrow movement, numpad 1 shoot, 2 jet pack, 3 menu, 0 crouch, 4 and 6 for actor changin and 5 to sharp aim.
Very handy controls

Yes they have. If you want to use numpad controls you must must configurate the controls in B21 and then copy the settings.ini to B22.
BTW this is fixed in the IGF Build.
