Weird stuff. Imagine the future of Brainology. Maybe you could even buy a
brain upgrade in the buy menu for quantum transmitters that increase the
difficulty of the AI on your team.

Or you could buy a brain upgrade at Walmart and do crazy stuff with your body
without fear of dying.

Neat.
It would have to be common technology to put it in cloned soldier bodies' heads. But the CC universe's civilizations are quite advanced.
I mean we currently use brain surgery and rocket science as idioms for complexity, and in CC they're in common use.

All the units you previously had would have to upgrade their receivers too though to make the switch to utilize this if you upgraded to it in-game, technically, and later bought actors would have some additional expenses.

An attribute of actors that sets AI between a few levels would be good. Obviously the current AI would be the minimum, and the maximum would be the best AI data makes for CC. Unless Data is done upgrading the AI, which would kinda suck.
Cheaper lowly units would commonly have poor AI, while elite spec ops guys would have maximum.
I mean we do have perceptiveness or whatever that variable is, but that only affects aiming, I think.

All I got from that page was a bunch of facts about teleportation. Does that have anything to do with brains controlling bodies?

Yeah, call me a nerd or bored person, but I've heard of Q-Bits and Computers before, the Q-Bit is mathematically strange, it can be 1, 0, or both.

~10 ml of it can easily decode primes.

I believe zalo's saying that teleportation of information may be the way the brains in an advanced future would transmit information.

That reminded me of the reference to Schrödinger's cat in HL2.
The one that can be Alive and Dead at the same time and
gives Barney nightmares.

Now I know the name of that half dead cat thing is.

Now I know the name of that half dead cat thing is.

And now I have a new name for a stray cat that's been mooching off of our cat's food which I think may actually be a cat which we previously owned that went MIA, and was presumed dead, at our previous residence. It's almost spooky, even if entirely possible that he would end up again with us.
Convenient, since I forgot what we called him before. But in our grand creativity and his grand orange fur, he was probably Garfield, or something else we've used nearly a dozen times.

Edit.
And when I was making this post originally, thinking he was alive, in a subsequent irl discussion I was then informed that there are roadkill remains that appear to be him on the road not far from here. Schrödinger the cat, is now even more likely dead. But not certainly. Oh wow.

But will he be back? Will he be uncertainly identifiable? I may have just cursed myself with a haunting.
If nothing else, I've at least cursed myself with having to learn how to pronounce Schrödinger.

If I were you and reading this, I would not believe it. But I speak the truth. This is bizarre.
Writing a short story about this just went on my mental burning to-do list.
(meaning I'll intend to, and then it will be quickly forgotten)

Since they teleported ONE atom ONE meter, at this rate, we'll be moving ants a mile or two by the time I'm dead. :(

not really.

you realize when technology advances in our society's current state. In a figurative sense, it doesn't just add upon itself, it multiplies.

we have advanced at an astounding rate over the past 100 years. We're more advanced than ever before, but in a wider sense that means something when i say it. we've advanced more in the past 100 years than we have at any other period in time.

think about the state of the world back then and how it is now. The US has response task forces that can respond to an event anywhere in the world in under a day. Back in the late 1800s we were inventing the airplane. The helicopter itself isn't really that old either.

surely it will take time, so don't expect the jetsons in a few years.

don't expect the jetsons either, it's highly probable that our future will seem a lot less radically changed than we hope it would be.

Indeed. Over %8 of everyone who has lived is alive now.
Over %80 of all scientists alive are alive now.
This aren't newly-true figures. And they might not be entirely accurate either, to be honest. But their general meaning is true.
Both scientific study amongst the population and the population are increasing at increasing rates. Which means advancement should be happening at an increasing rate.

You thought things were different in your great grand/grandfather's childhood?
We'll live throughout an age of changes that would be comforting in contrast to the difference back in their day.
But these changes may not necessarily be preferable to us.
You can embrace it or hate it, but you'll have troubles if you mean to stop it.

That could technically be reworded to say that you have fantasies of being a fudge packer to robots.

On a more serious note, I agree that nanites would be great. They could help the human body function in so many ways, working from intelligence rather than processes hard-wired into the brain over time, more or less subconscious instinct. I can only imagine that life expectancy would sky rocket.

There was an idea here. It's gone now.

In fact, with nanites you could probably theoretically live forever, barring accidents.
