Technical excellence in a game that has an incomplete physics engine. I guess that means the competition sucked ass, haha.

Base sprites are honestly nothing too spectacular. The community has created and contributed far better art than the base game (which is most likely what was taken into consideration).
Additionally, the art isn't even innovative--its just pixel art.

I saw Cave mission gameplay video on igf . I dont have sucher red arrows as *protect* and *destroy* . WTF ?

Although, I'm no big fan of sprites that just rotate instead of animate when they change direction, it becomes all distorted at certain angles, although, no biggie. Game looks great still
