The Completion Of Cortex Command?
Ok, December 25th Data posted that the completion of the metagame and campaign would be finished in 2009. So, whats left after that? How long after those are finished do you the full game will be done? I'm confused. If this is stupid and asked before, please lock, i'm tired.

By that, he probably means the game itself will be done, but that he may still release expansion packs, for instance.

I sincerely hope (and mostly believe) that we'll retain the ability to add mods to the game without having to buy expansion packs.

I also hope that he adds support for more stuff into the game. For instance, a craving from a percentage of the modders in this community has been to be able to infuse Lua into guns and actors. Data has also mentioned little blurbs here and there about functions. For example, take a look at the in-game now. Propose Cease-fire, Save Map and other functions do not work. He still has to implement those. It's also been said by Mac users that the Preset function is not 100% working. Obviously, he's going to finish that bit. In writing, there's something called a Final Draft, which is the last thing you have before you do the editing and the fine tuning. After that is complete, we will have our final Cortex Command. And after that, I'd assume Ant Attack would appear on the scene after a period of time. Thank you for listening to my prattling on.

CC will NOT end after the first campaign and metagame, believe me. (or maybe it will... who knows )

Re: The Completion Of Cortex Command?
i agree with scancode on this one i can see cortex command expansions with new planets to go to and new variables to fiddle with. but after cortex command i believe data will continue on to make incredible pixel physics games!

I'm pretty sure his next game is going to be 3D.

Re: The Completion Of Cortex Command?
You mean the the same ant attack that was "the first true isometric 3D game"!
But I think Zombie Zombie would work as a better remake, flying a dropship around, making zombies drop from cliffs with real time physics based gibbing!

Re: The Completion Of Cortex Command?
He's already partially coded some of his ant attack remake.
