When doors are stationary they leave terrain the shape of themselves (If they don't collisions won't work) When they are destroyed while stationary, the gibs stay stuck in the terrain. That's also why data made doors erase terrain, so they get rid of the invisible terrain they create.
Wat.
ITT: Serious dumb.
Doors erase terrain so that they have a clear path of motion.
Data's engine is not so flawed that he has to create false terrain to create collisions. That doesn't even make SENSE, seeing as how doors get wounds and gibs.
Protip guys speculating on the nature of the game engine when you're QUITE obviously wrong is not a great way to solve problems.
@OP:
The issue is with new material settings Data put in in B21, it'll be fixed in the next release almost assuredly.
