Re: CPU Smoothing
Something tells me that you have a beastly CPU, because it still gets somewhat choppy for me :C (And i made the friggin' bomb for petes sake...)
Edit: Or else i just have waaaaaay too many mods installed. I should try removing some of them...

Tossing around dropships with the gravity gun in slow motion.

If it's not already possible somehow, a toggle in the options menu or a Settings.ini variable to completely disable it would be nice.

Re: CPU Smoothing
From Dev log:
Simluation speed partially decoupled from real time. It’s allowed to smoothly slow down into slomo without sacrificing FPS when the simulation becomes too heavy for your machine to keep at real time. You can turn this off with Ctrl+O. Again, more on this later.

Re: CPU Smoothing
A complaint: The game slows down for ANY lag, even the lag i get (probably about a tenth of a tenth of a second) when i shoot something. So the sounds sound retarded and flat.
Also, music slows down with lag.

Re: CPU Smoothing
I like the music slowing down; also makes you aware that there's something big going on. But I agree with you, an fps slider or something would be nice though, so that you can choose the threshold of when the game should be slowing down. Just firing a normal gun shouldn't slow-mo.

Re: CPU Smoothing
Data needs a buffer or something for the sounds, so when the slowdown gets to a certain point THEN the sounds start to slow.
as of right now, no matter what, you're going to get slowmo sounds no matter how fast the game runs for you.
