omg brain in a jar controls robot!
From this article, actually not a full brain in a jar, but a few pieces of rat neurons, but this proves the concept of cortex command to be viable, yey! http://technology.newscientist.com/chan ... obots.html

This is interesting, but, something about it doesn't sit right with me.
Maybe it's science fiction becoming non-fiction that kinda scares me.

Pretty cool, saw this somewhere else not long ago. Surprising that it would reconnect and function that well.

That's pretty sweet. I can see this developing real quickly with today's technology. Cyborg rat ftw

This makes me wonder what could be done with cybernetic arms and legs if someone where to lose one. It could make war related injuries a little less of a disability.

Re: omg brain in a jar controls robot!
From what the article says, the brain-in-a-bottle thing may only work if the brain is grown in the bottle (or transplanted early on in development). I guess that means I can't be a skelly/coalition/rocket/tank hybrid anytime soon...
