We've gone back and forth a little on the strictly side view, but finally decided against it again since it amkes the charaters seem really 'fly-swatted' and flat. See the image below for a comparison. Visually, the slightly rotated view is a lot more insteresting, I think. Also, the bodies are built slightly rotated, with the background limbs being a little farther forward tehan the foreground one, etc. This helps keep the legs and animation read more clearly. So keeping the heads matching with that makes sense to me. |

You've never seen any of my sprites so you can't know what it looks like, but yea, if i made it that funny looking i wouln'd release it. Btw, i am just too lazy to make new actors. Anyway, nice post data, that really shows the difference. |
