I've been playing cc for ages now, and i only play deathmode. and when i discovered mods (slow chac is slow) death mode became easier than it already was what i'm suggesting is that the AI deploys other units than the default troops (Holy ♥♥♥♥, cpu DarKlone anyone?) and deploys them faster with better ai (with better AI i mean so they don't walk up to the wall all the time in an attempt to bury themselves) so that "Death" really becomes "Death" srsly guise, moar impossibility to survive in death mode plx tell me what you think, discuss |

Don't use mods then. Really, it's the modmaker's fault for making everything so amazingly deadly and undeadable that Death mode is easy for everyone. |

In later versions of the game AI will be significantly improved. Right now Data is ironing over the core gameplay stuff of the game. I suspect Death mode will be far more vicious with the finalized AI. |

Well, when Data finishes making the game, you can make the AI spawn with the best units and only the best weapons/tools. Also, modmakers DID make them powerful. You could exploit them to go beyond death mode. |

It's called activities.ini, and it allows for the addition of whatever units you please to the AI forces. MPAM's dual-wielding dreadnoughts? Possible, just ♥♥♥♥ up! Clones dropping from the sky? Sure! Rockets in a dropship held by a Heavy Darklone with a Coalition helmet on? I think so, since I believe that ACDropships can be put into the inventory. Just know that with Darklones as your opposition, you'll need hella gold to kill them. |

With AAL, you're going to need MORE gold than you need to fight DKs. |

My new gunpack contains fairly balanced guns, and AI with semiautomatic grenade launchers can do some pretty decent damage. |

It will tell you everything you need to know to modify your activities, or at the very least, a very reasonable fraction of said knowledge. Read it. |

Well I'm off to make a ultra activities.ini for every weapon, actor, bomb, etc I have! I don't think it will be super deadly(some parts more than others), but it will definitely be EXTREMELY varied. What will you face? The Dues guys? or maybe an air strike of AAL bombs? It may even DATA come down from the heavens to smite you! P.S. I am new at this kind of thing so a couple quick questions that I can't seem to find the answer to(please don't call a noob or whatever if they're in plain sight just give me a link to the answer). 1. Do I have to get the mod creators permission to use their stuff in this? 2. If I post a topic for this when it's a WIP where should it go(super nooby I know)? |

1. You don't need permission to make Activities edits. 2. It is strongly recommended that you NOT release activities edits. For a variety of reasons. First, most people do them for themselves, and know what they like. Second, any activities edit requires that users have exactly the same mods as you. Third, it's hardly a mod at all. There's barely anything skill-wise involved. |

Grif wrote: First, most people do them for themselves I know, but for those that A) don't know how to make activitie edits or B) are to lazy, this would be an easier way of having more unique fights because I expect to have over 100 different possible spawns. Grif wrote: Second, any activities edit requires that users have exactly the same mods as you. That is true though I could make some pack type activities as well such as one for AAL, or shooks huge pack o mods. People could also just comment out what they don't want, or make simple changes to it. Grif wrote: Third, it's hardly a mod at all. There's barely anything skill-wise involved. Also true, but I have a got 76 mods that I can put together so while it may not require skill it would still be extremely slow, boring, etc.(I know that compared to AAL,DarKlones,Shooks mods, etc. I have nothing. Besides since there is an almost complete lack of these I might as well try this instead of making an unoriginal lazor or uber machine gun) |
